About these pages
Bob Olhsson, the legendary Motown engineer, has been an incredibly active educator on the net.
Always embracing technological possibilities, he was one of the very first embracing the possibilities of the web.
His long experience in ‘forum writing’ has given him the unique skill of communicating what he has to say in the shortest possible postings. The internet being such a jungle of blabber, Bob’s style really helps the reader see through the clutter.
Here is a collection of some of his postings as collected by a humble fan. Apologies for my fairly random categories, but I had to categorize them somehow.
Join the mailing list and you will be informed when I have made sizable updates. You won’t be pestered and you can easily unsubscribe in the easiest of ways.
Updates will include additions to the current caategories and new categories will be added to include ‘equipment’, ‘tracking’ and many others.
Bob will be lecture touring in Scandinavia, so if you are in the area, this website will also let you know when you can meet him in person.
thankyou
It’s always great reading Bob’s insights and outlooks. Thanks for all you’ve done, past present and future, Bob. I look forward to following along.
This website has changed my outlook on what I do as a recording engineer. These are some of the things fellow professionals will not tell you in the slightest. I sincerely appreciate your effort in educating the public.
